A Tapestry of Secrets is another beautiful story by Sarah Loudin Thomas. I love the slow, everyday pace of Thomas’s novels and A Tapestry of Secrets followed the same gentle pace. Ella and Perla, granddaughter and grandmother, the main characters in A Tapestry of Secrets, share their struggles and heartaches in a beautiful touching story about understanding and accepting the past while trying to find meaning now in the middle of change.
Thomas adeptly uses everyday events to create the tension and plot in this novel and that makes her characters and their lives seems so authentic. She also does an admirable job of weaving in parts of related novels for those of us who have read them without confusing new readers. I loved the depth Thomas created in Ella and Perla by intertwining their stories. I did feel that Sadie remained a bit too superficial and I couldn’t move past that about her.
A Tapestry of Secrets is a lovely story about family, friendship, and helping others. Bethany House gave me a complimentary copy of A Tapestry of Secrets by Sarah Loudin Thomas for my candid review.
