Falling for a Duke is another charming release from the Timeless Regency Collection. Ceanna, Elizabeth, and Madeline are three young adult women who each find themselves in the company of a duke for less than ideal reasons. Authors Nichole Van, Rebecca Connolly, and Janelle Daniels create well written stories with resilient characters that entertain, amuse, and charm. Great characters, unexpected plots and fun along the way, Falling for a Duke is entertaining reading. I liked it! The newest release in the Hawthorne House series does not disappoint. An Inconvenient Beauty introduces us to a whole new side of Griffith, Duke of Riverton, and the quandary he faces when trying to approach courtship with a methodical, pre-planned approach. What he didn’t plan on was the woman of his dreams interrupting his plans at every turn.
Well written, and fun to read, author Kristi Ann Hunter delivers another entertaining tale of life and love, choices and consequences, and hope and redemption. Full of strong, authentic characters, and the same eccentric Hawthorne family, the expected turns quickly to the unexpected. I really liked the genuineness of Miss Isabella Breckenridge and how she works so painfully and realistically through the consequences of her choices. The Matchmaking Game by Donna Hatch, the newest Timeless Romance single, is entertaining, refreshing and fun to read. With carefully planning Rowena feels certain she and Evan will succeed; however, Evan though seems cautious and reluctant about everything, including his friendship with Rowena. Full of unexpected twists and touching exchanges, Donna Hatch creates a charming story of love, loss, and hope. Heather B. Moore gave me a copy of The Matchmaking Game for my candid review.
I loved it! An Uncommon Courtship is the third book of the Hawthorne House series and first novel I have read by author Kristi Ann Hunter. I am delighted to have found another great author to enjoy. Well written and full of complex, yet compelling characters, An Uncommon Courtship pulls us into an nontraditional marriage that perplexes two ordinary people.
I really like the character of Adelaide and how she interacts, learns from, and struggles in her relationships. She has depth and a quirky authenticity that draws us quickly into her story. Even the supporting characters have a complexity that makes the novel fun to read. I was especially taken with Trent’s family and how they rally around him and Adelaide.
Great characters and intriguing plot. I look forward to reading the other books in the Hawthorne House series. Bethany House gave me a complimentary copy of An Uncommon Courtship by Kristi Ann Hunter for my candid review.
